Buyers don’t discount what you built. They discount what you can’t prove.
Fractional CFO leadership for founder-led companies preparing to sell, raise capital, or acquire. We make the numbers defensible before a buyer, lender, or investor tests them — then build the reporting, forecasting, and systems that keep them that way.
The Readiness Assessment
Most consultants open with a proposal. We open with an assignment — a scoped, paid review that produces something useful whether or not you ever hire us again.
It examines financial reporting and close, budgeting and forecasting, systems and data, your technology and cloud cost position, and the questions a buyer, lender, or investor will ask. The output is a prioritized roadmap: what to fix, in what order, and what each item is worth when someone is on the other side of the table.
If the engagement continues, that roadmap becomes the blueprint. Nothing is redone.
Diagnosis through implementation
We either execute the work directly or coordinate client-approved specialists — while remaining accountable for the business requirement and the strategic outcome. Every engagement begins with the Readiness Assessment, and every service below is scoped from what it finds.
Fractional CFO Leadership
Senior financial leadership without the senior hire. Board-ready reporting, cash and capital planning, month-end discipline, and a finance function that scales with the company instead of trailing it. Structured as a fixed monthly retainer, not an hourly engagement.
Financial & Operational Transformation
Rebuilding the infrastructure underneath the numbers. Financial systems selection and configuration, data integration, decision-support tooling, and the operating cadence that turns reporting into management. Support for new markets, offices, and departments.
How We Work
Ongoing work is a fixed monthly retainer with a five-hour minimum, billed in advance. Project work requires a deposit; non-retainer invoices are Net-15. Every engagement carries a written scope, however warm the relationship. Fees reflect the decisions the work supports, not hours logged.
Exit, Sale & Acquisition Readiness
Preparing the financial story a buyer, lender, or investor will test — and closing the gaps before they find them. On the buy side, the same discipline applied to targets: what the model says, and what the model is missing.
Technology & Cloud Cost Governance
Ten years inside IT financial management, FinOps, and enterprise technology portfolios — applied to the fastest-growing, least-governed line on your P&L. Cloud and SaaS optimization, cost allocation, technology business cases, vendor evaluation. Most fractional CFOs cannot price a technology stack. This is where the margin is.
AI Advisory
Led by a finance leader, not an AI vendor — the judgment layer where most AI efforts fail. Readiness and opportunity assessment, tool selection and cost governance, AI governance and policy. We use AI directly on client deliverables, and every assessment includes an explicit list of what is not worth doing.
What would diligence find?
No pitch, no deck. Fifteen minutes on where the company is headed, what a buyer or lender is likely to test, and whether a Readiness Assessment is the right next move. If it isn’t, we’ll say so.
